Flip image

Mirror a photo left to right, or flip it top to bottom. Pick the direction once and every image in the list flips; each keeps the format it came in, and nothing leaves your device.

How to flip an image

  1. Drop your images on the box above, or click it to choose them.
  2. Pick Horizontal (left to right) or Vertical (top to bottom) in the bar; every image flips that way. Tap ↻ on a row to turn it as well.
  3. Save the images one by one, or all of them in a single ZIP file.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, on your own computer or phone. Your files are never sent to a server, so nobody else can see them.

Is there a limit on how many files I can convert?

No daily limit and no sign-up. Drop as many files as you like; the only limit is your device's memory, so very large batches simply take longer.

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?

A flip mirrors the picture: what was on the left ends up on the right (or the top at the bottom), and writing reads backwards. A rotation turns the whole picture by a quarter and keeps it readable. For a sideways photo, use Rotate image.

Will the writing in my selfie read the right way?

Yes. Front cameras often save a mirrored picture; flipping it horizontally puts signs and writing the right way round.

Which format do I get back?

The one you put in: a JPG stays JPG, a PNG stays PNG, a WebP stays WebP. iPhone HEIC photos come back as JPG, and GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG files as PNG, because browsers can't write those formats.

Is the quality kept?

A PNG keeps every pixel. A JPG is saved again at high quality, so the change is hard to see, and its date taken and camera details are kept in the file.
