Resize image

Make pictures the width a website, a profile or a form asks for. Pick a width or type one; every image in the list gets it, the height follows the shape, and nothing leaves your device.

How to resize an image

  1. Pick the width: 1920, 1280, 800 or 400 pixels, or choose "width…" and type the pixels you need.
  2. Drop your images on the box, or click it to choose them. Each one is resized as it is added; the row shows the new pixel size.
  3. Save the images one by one, or all of them in a single ZIP file.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, on your own computer or phone. Your files are never sent to a server, so nobody else can see them.

Is there a limit on how many files I can convert?

No daily limit and no sign-up. Drop as many files as you like; the only limit is your device's memory, so very large batches simply take longer.

Can I set the height too, or an exact size?

The height follows the picture's shape, so nothing is squashed. An exact width and height, like a square profile picture, needs cropping: use Crop image, which takes both.

Can a small picture be made bigger?

No. Enlarging adds no detail, it only blurs, so a picture already narrower than the width is kept as it is.

Which format do I get back?

The one you put in: a JPG stays JPG, a PNG stays PNG, a WebP stays WebP. iPhone HEIC photos come back as JPG, and GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG files as PNG, because browsers can't write those formats.

Is the quality kept?

A PNG keeps every pixel. A JPG is saved again at high quality, so the change is hard to see, and its date taken and camera details are kept in the file.
